About

Every season (May–October), I ride a motorcycle through Europe's wine regions, sleep under the stars, and return with independent long-format reportages, photos, and videos about the families and winemakers behind the bottles we love.

About

I’m Izack Stjernberg, a Danish journalist who loves wine, motorbikes and the open road (not necessarily in that order).

Every season (May–October) I set out across Europe on a motorcycle, letting the wine road decide where it takes me. I visit 8–10 vineyards, guided by the people I meet: one winemaker’s story leads to the next recommendation, and the next, creating an unpredictable chain of human connections.

I listen to their stories around the kitchen table, spend nights under the stars, and return with long-format reportages, videos, and photographs that dive deep into the human lives, the terroir, and the passion behind every bottle.

Between seasons it’s a bit more quiet — just like on the road.

For Season 1, the theme is "The Pioneers" — the innovative winemakers who are pushing boundaries, redefining traditions, and shaping the future of wine.

It starts in May 2026, and I’m taking you with me.

So what’s my backstory?

I come from a dedicated food and wine family with a passion for Italy. I grew up with homemade pasta and Italian wine on the table and spent every summer in Italy, dragged from winery to winery — much to my displeasure at the time.

Then life happened. I became a journalist with big ambitions and forgot everything about Italy and wine. I worked as a political speechwriter at top government level, facilitator, and brand consultant — until wine rediscovered me.

To pay the rent after two years of global lockdown, I started working at Enoteka, a small Italian wine shop in Helsingør, Denmark. Within months, everything from my childhood clicked into place, and I knew I had to find a way to combine wine and journalism to tell the stories about the people behind the wine.

MotoVino Adventures grew organically out of that moment.

Welcome to the journey.
