Like spontaneous fermented wine – served unfiltered
The virgin voyage is over, and it was a great success. The concept works.
After a successful trip to the Schnürr winery in Gundersheim, Rheinhessen in Germany, where I visited the eldest son of the family, Benedikt Schnürr, I can say without a shred of doubt that this project works.
Not that I doubted it in my mind, but it's always nice to get proof of concept from the outside world, and I could think of no one better than Benedikt.
Quite simply because he is a pioneer by heart and soul, and he has a certain instinct for what might work, so if he liked it, I knew it would have a future.
Fortunately he did, and like me, he thinks MotoVino Adventures will bring a breath of fresh air to the world of wine and the journalism exercised there.
He enjoyed the unfiltered approach to telling stories about wine through the people behind it, and he told me it was the first time he felt truly himself in front of the camera, because usually everything is scripted, and he feels confined by that.
Here, nothing was scripted, which gives the footage a journalistic style that resembles a spontaneous fermented wine – served with the yeast still in the bottle.
However, it also brings out the raw flavors of the wine, or in this case the person, which is exactly what I'm looking for in this project. I believe it leads to a deeper understanding of the wine – and a greater experience drinking it.
But judge for yourself in the articles, photos and videos from the Schnürr vineyard. Meanwhile, Avanti and I are planning the next trip.
