Motorcycling in my circle
Acceptance of who we really are is key to shaping life according to will, and if it wasn't for motorcycles, I probably wouldn't have gotten the message.
I have a deep affection for riding motorcycles, but it didn't step into my circle by itself. I had to choose it, and even then it took years for it to manifest.
It made me wonder if we actually get to choose what becomes part of our circle, or if it's all written in the sand from the beginning?
I believe we do get a say to an extent, but it requires merging it with what's already in our circle to make it work.
A forgotten urge to ride
My story with motorcycling is that I almost took the driver's license when I was young, but I didn't have the money for the final test. So I started doubting if motorcycling was meant to be my thing and moved on in life.
Big mistake. I had motorcycling in my circle back then. It was part of my youth and I could have continued without blinking. Instead, I let it slip away – trying to forget all about it.
As I was approaching my 50s, the urge to ride came back. I initially thought it was part of my mid-life crisis, so I didn't make a move on it, but it turned out to be a true calling and I decided to pursue it.
Discovery leads the way
I got my driver's license at the age of 52, and started looking for a way to merge it with my circle. It turned out to be difficult. There was nothing in my life even remotely connected to motorcycles.
So, I decided to seek new frontiers and came up with a solution that's a direct extension of me as a person. That's how MotoVino Adventures came into being, and it's now unfolding.
I think it will be a great learning experience, as well as an adventure, which is how my circle works. There is always an element of discovery in it.
Acceptance is key
The irony is that the more I accept the existing contents of my circle, the easier it is for me to add new elements to it. I simply experience acceptance as being the key to the door of destiny.
It's as if Destiny says, "You have chosen wisely by accepting me, and now you get to add specifically what's yours."
In other words, I believe our circle is defined by an acceptance of who we are on a deeper level, and we don't get to manifest anything in life according to will until we acknowledge that.
Only then are we allowed to add our own thing, and we better choose wisely because it defines our circle going forwards. It sets roots.
At the end of the day, we can only choose ourselves, and it seems I'm a mix of wine, journalism, and motorcycling.
