The importance of skills
Whatever you do, your technical skills open the door to the freedom of doing it, and as a result, you grow as a person. That’s why it’s important to practice your skills on a regular basis, and why not do it in the beautiful spring weather to get ready for the season with a few motorcycle exercises.
Whatever you do, your technical skills open the door to the freedom of doing it, and as a result, you grow as a person.
That’s why it’s important to practice your skills on a regular basis, and today I’m out in the beautiful spring weather to get ready for the season with a few motorcycle exercises.
The exercises are not the purpose of riding a motorcycle, just like being able to smell and taste a wine isn't the purpose of drinking it. But a well developed skill set sets you free to enjoy the purpose even more. You simply start operating at another level, and it relaxes your nervous system and gives you a higher sense of joy.
I believe we all have to find our way of increasing our level of skills in anything we do. It doesn't have to be complicated or advanced. Often the basic exercises are the best to practice as long as you do it consistently. They will turn into advanced exercises all by themselves after some time. It's a natural process.
At least that's how I have always learned my stuff, and it's how I approach both the techniques of motorcycling and wine tasting. Keep doing the basic stuff, and it will automatically evolve.
Most of all, enjoy life along the way. That's what truly matters.
